Art Exhibition by Pernilla Backman at Roasberg, 2.10-1.11.2018.

”This exhibition will take you on a journey through mysterious landscapes and dreamlike worlds to feelings of pure love and capturing the evolvement in the moment when change is about to happen.

The paintings showcases a lot of movement and colors and the inspiration for this exhibition has been drawn a lot from the 80’s music and movies.”

Pernilla Backman is an artist that creates both abstract and realistic art, also combining both styles on the same canvas.
She mostly uses oil paint to showcase the vision of her inner world, but she does enjoy trying new materials- like drawing with charcoal and applying goldleaf to her paintings.
The continous play with styles and material add a richness to her interpretation and maked her come out of her artistic comfort zone, giving her a curious approach to create in her own personal art labroratory.

Her favourite artists are Frida Kahlo and Tamara de Lempicka, just to name a few.

”Like a Prayer” is her third private exhibition during a  three year period.
2016 was ”Cojones” at Sydämen Pohjasta Hki and 2017 ”Gypsified” at Roasberg.
She also participated in a group exhibition this year at Vörå Kommunbibliotek in Vöyri, the place where she is originally from.

Pernilla also makes commission paintings custom-made for homes, work places etc.
